Mini Rangers was established in 2012 for players aged 4-6 years old. This was due to the fact that football clubs are not permitted to register any player under the age of 6 years old to their league teams. As a result, we had to turn away dozens of keen young footballers every season and hope that they would return once old enough. Some did but sadly many didn't either because they moved to another club or simply fell out of love with football!

The great thing about Mini Rangers is that children can now get involved with Dewsbury Rangers from 4 years old and benefit from weekly training sessions, designed specifically for them, without the need to register with the FA.

 

Sessions offer children the chance to be introduced to football in a safe, fun and engaging environment with no pressure. Sessions are designed to cater for children of all abilities and give players the opportunity to progress at their own pace.

Once your child turns 6, they will be offered registration with Dewsbury Rangers for the upcoming season. At this point, along with all of the other eligible children,  your child will form the club's new Under 7's age group. Although they will no longer train with Mini Rangers, they will begin training with their new age group. This will also be supplemented by scheduled matches on a weekly basis against other clubs within the Huddersfield & District Junior Football League.
